I was born in 1935 in the former Italian city of Fiume. I arrived in Melbourne from Italy in late 1959. In 1963 I joined the National Gallery of Victoria Life drawing classes. In 1966 I was employed by GTV 9 as a scenic artist, in 1970 I was offered employment by Channel 2 in Ripponlea - also as a scenic artist. In 1983 I was responsible for imitating works of the famous Heidelberg School Artists, such as Tom Roberts, Arthur Streeton, Charles Condor, Walter Withers etc, etc. The TV production was called :-One Summer again - .
I always had a passion for the Arts and dedicated lots of time to painting, I tackled my first oil painting at the age of 15, and had exhibited and have had "plein-air" painting experience in Italy, and later in Australia.
I have been awarded prizes and commendations and have exhibited in Italy, Canada and New York. In 1985 I retired, and have been a fulltime artist since. To this date I have had twenty two one-man shows, and many others in groups. I am a member of the Victorian Artist's Society and the Contemporary Art Society of Victoria. I have also taught art and painting - and also judged art exhibitions and gave demonstrations.
