DAVID LITTLEFIELD
David grew up in a home in which the smell of linseed oil and paint permeated the atmosphere and where his father was well respected for his skills with the brush. As a student David consistently won prizes for his art and as a teenager won a Royal Society of Arts Scholarship. Upon completing his scholarship he moved into a career in lithography.
In the early 1960s he left England where he was born, travelling to the other side of the world to settle in Australia. He has remained here, ultimately putting down roots on the Mornington Peninsula. He believes he could not have chosen a better place to become primarily, a landscape artist.
David has travelled extensively, absorbing the exotic and diverse of different parts of the world. A member of the Peninsula Arts Society, his works are to be found in homes and galleries in Australia and overseas. He currently exhibits in galleries throughout Victoria and has recently been awarded Best Landscape in any medium at the Rotary Art Gippsland, 2012. |
