MICHAEL RONEY
Michael trained initially in Building Design and Construction at RMIT in Melbourne (1971 -3) and later at NSW IT (1976-77)
included art and graphics but his concentration in those early years was on the design and construction of buildings, both domestic
and commerical high rise.
Muuch of Michael's working life continued to revolve around building and designand constructiion however when he moved to Queensland
in the mid 80s a new focus began to evolve. Michael began what he describes as a dialogue between work and creative abstract .
He begain to express his working life's experienceson to the canvas.
The forms, density and texture of his paintings reflect an abiding interest in the visual impact. |
